"Close to the Northwestern campus", this "old but still elegant hotel in Downtown Evanston" "needs a little improvement", but is otherwise a "comfortable place to stay"; while rooms, bathrooms and closets are smaller than surveyors like, they do sport "high-quality linens" and "Aveda toiletries", plus on-site facilities include a workout room and "free Internet"; too bad the "relatively poor service" "could be more customer-oriented."

Location was excellent near Northwestern University!

Bathrooms were really small in rooms with one king size bed!

Great location. Boutique hotel. Great shopping/food close by. Northwestern within walking distance. Great staff. Small bathrooms. Deluxe rooms with two queen beds were much bigger and spacious.

The rooms were nice and the staff was helpful.

The computer cable did not work and the key card did not work the first time

The location is great for northern Chicago. Enjoyed the closeness to shopping and Northwestern University campus.

Stating that your car would be towed, but night check in you don't see the signs. No one at the desk make me aware. It is a hotel.

Area where they will tow your car.

The hotel has a valet service for $20.00 per day. There was metered parking places around the hotel. I checked in and was in a hurry because of a meeting. I did not see the signs. I think that when the guest is checking in, the hotel management should tell their guest. It has happen before many times because they have a sheet giving the address of the towing company available for print. ...read more
